For some reason when an appointment is made although the notifications and emails are received. For some reason it is not possible for the employee to see their bookings. It does not come up even though a booking has been made, is there any reason this is happening
Could you please tell me do you see these appointments in the back-end of Amelia as an admin? Is it the ase that only the employee can't see these or you can't see them neither? Could you please tell me have this employee maybe booked appointments while logged in to WP or something similar? As if this is done , it can be that another role was added to this user - customer - so it has now mixed permissions in Amelia.
Please check in your customers list on Amelia -> Customers page if there is a customer with this employee's email address, if there is delete it and see if this employee can see their appointments then. If this doesn't help , then you need to re-create your WP user or access your database, the wp_amelia_users table (it can have another prefix rather than wp_ depending on your database) and edit your user - delete any additional roles, leaving only the admin one.
I have cleared everything both customers and also I opened the site and acted as a new customer booking an appointment and it didn't come up I didn't get any notifications either through the employee email telling them an appointment has been booked . It also didn't show on admin, this is very new to me also how exactly do I access the database and what do I do?
Please provide me a temporary WP-admin login for your site where this happens, so we could log in and take a look. Since I couldn't access the WP back-end , the URL you previously sent me in the other ticket you have, please check if you have any security settings/plugin that could cause this.
We do not interfere with any data or anything else except for the plugin (in case that’s a production version of the site), and of course we do not provide login data to third party. You can write credentials here just check Private Reply so nobody can see them except us.
I literally just want to show you that I am not the only one that is going through this ticket. Notifications about bookings or anything are not being received and it is not just me are Amelia not aware of this issue . I've seen many people report this but yet you fail to admit there is a substantial issue , are we going to have an update or anything regarding this?, I have closed my whole business down . Please acknowledge the issue and give us the support that we pay for
Email notifications depend on the Mail service you setup in Amelia and the users' website and server configuration. So this isn't something configured by Amelia only and working from Amelia only , but by all of this - the mail service, server/website configuration. Each website/server configuration is different so they require different setup, and this is why for some works WP mail for example, and for some SMTP, sometimes SMTP isn't allowed at all on a server, and sometimes SMTP can be configured only by your hosting configuratio, etc. there are many different use cases, since like I said this doesn't depend on Amelia only but Mail service configuration and your website/server configuration. If this wasn't working in Amelia, it wouldn't work for none of the users, and for us neither, and we have a lot of users who use the email notifications.
So please check one of the suggestions I sent you in the other ticket regarding this matter, and if none of this helps you should contact your hosting provider , to ask them whether a different configuration is needed for your website/server regarding this matter (especially if you use SMTP)
For the email notifications - please check our instructions for setting this up. We don't recommend PHP Mail as the emails can be flagged as spam/junk or can take some time to be sent/received. If you use SMTP it can be used with Gmail like we provided an example for or any other mail service provider, but you need to have a configuration they need for that. Sometimes using SMTP for some providers like Gmail or similar is not supported by the hosting/server. So you need to check out with your hosting, if SMTP is allowed and what configuration is needed for SMTP sending emails on your servers.
If you have some other plugin for this purpose, sending emails/ SMTP, on your website, then you need to choose WP Mail as a Mail service in Amelia and it will use that other plugin's configuration for sending emails.
Regarding the appointments issue, thank you for the credentials but pleqase send me the link where I could login as well, as the link you sent me earlier is redirecting to a Coming soon page, like I mentioned in the other ticket.
