The Reminder notifications are sent the day before the appointment at the Scheduled time - the Scheduled for option is for you to set the time when these reminder notifications will be sent for the appointments on the next day. So, these notitifications are not sent 24 h before the appointment, but one day before the appointment at the scheduled time.
