I was setting up in the Notification settings some weeks ago my texts which my clients should receive.
I also installed a Cron plugin "WP control" and set my cron like you adviced me weeks ago. All was working fine, my customers got reminder always a day before.
But now not anymore. This stopped some days ago or so.
I can't remember that I changed something. Maybe I did some updates on my Wordpress plugins some days ago, but this shouldn't change it, right?
Is there an issue on your site or what could be the mistake?
I don't know why your cron event was deleted, I didn't face this issue before. I recall there were a couple of customers that reported the same behavior, but it happened due to a conflict with something else if I recall correctly. Reaching out to WP Crontrol's support resolved the issue.
You can book an appointment with your email now, book for tomorrow, and set the reminder notification time to be in the past (in the upper right corner of the reminder notification). Then copy the URL from below the template:
And paste it into your browser's address bar. It will come back with this:
And that will trigger the cron, so you will receive a notification in your inbox.

Ok after todays working I assured that no client got anymore a reminder. So I am trying to figure out as fast as possible what can be the reason.
And in the Cron Events of my WP Control plugin, I actually cannot find the Event anymore. I created a new one like in your guidelines.
So I guess it got deleted after the update... is this a common issue with WP control?!
Is there a way to make a test run? My next lessons are scheduled only for next week, can I otherwise test it somehow now for me?
