Employee working hours

    Hello,

We need to change the working days and hours of some of our employees staring from a given date, let's say from March 2021. It seems impossible as there are fixed days of work and it looks like we can't change them. However, we are stuck, as working hours are changing from March.

Could you please tell us what solution you have for this problem. Do you have any plan to work on the plugin as to have the possibility to change easily the working days and hours of the company or an employee?

    Thanks

    Hello Edouard

    Thank you for your purchase.

You can add Special Days for your employees, which will override existing working hours. Depending on "Period available for booking in advanced", you can set it so it covers that period from March 2021.

Meaning, if "Period available for booking in advanced" is 60 days, you can add Special days to your customers from March - May. Then, when March begins, you can simply change your employee's working hours and delete special days.

    Kind Regards,

    Thank you Alesandar,

When I tried to add special days, it did not override existing hours...

The trick you give we is not really doable: if I need to change from March, then I have to put a hold on existing working days and hours and start new ones from March.  If I add special days and hours, it will add on the ones I have!

Now my employee works on Monday and Tuesday morning. I need to add Monday evening from MArch and change the hours in the morning for those two days, including the service provided.

With the current possibilities and the solution you gave me, this is impossible.

The solution you propose is a labyrinthe and impossible to execute, Why don't Amelia just enhance it's pluggin by giving the possibility to change working days and hours? It has to be more flexible.

    Perhaps you have an idea?

    Hi again Edouard

Adding a Special Day does override existing working hours for an employee, and that's a feature we haven't changed. If they are not overridden, I'll need to remote into your website and test this.

At the moment, there is no possibility to add working hours that will change from a certain day onwards. That will be forwarded to our developers as a suggestion, so they can work on it for the future development of the plugin.

So, what I proposed is the only way you can make this work.

Also, you can create a new employee which will have Days Off (date range) from TODAY until February 28th:

Then, create working hours for that employee, and assign him to the same service. People will be able to book appointments with this employee from March 1st onwards.

Same logic can be created for the existing employee - add Days Off from March 1st until the end of the year (for example). Then you can delete the first employee, on March 1st, and you'll be left with one employee that works on new working hours.

    Dear Aleksandar,

Thanks for your reply. it is exatcly what I did before posting here but I posted here as this is really not practical. It required a huge organisation and it created confusion for the patients as they did not understand why there are two doctors B.

I am sure you understand that and I really hope the developpers will be able to create more flexibility on that point.

An other question I have is that I need to set "the avaible period for booking an appointment " differently for each employee. I need for exemple for Dr B the period to be 70 days, but for Dr R to be 30 days. But it seems this is not possible either. Any suggestions?

    Thanks again

Thank you for your feedback, Edouard

I'll forward this to our development team, but I'll kindly ask you to add it as a feature suggestion on this page. Features are pushed up on our "to-do" list when there are a lot of customers requesting those features, so having your vote as a customer can be beneficial to this feature being developed sooner.

As for the period available for booking in advanced, that can only be configured per service, not per employee. So, you would need to configure a different service per employee, and configure the booking period available in advance for the service itself.
