Just want to mention a small bug. When I have created a link with a button to click on - and I want to edit this button - there is html short code after the link.
See example: https://xyz.org|| class="">Trusted Source<>
You then first have to remove the code mentioned after || before saving otherwise the link won't work. It is ofcourse not overcomeable but good to know so maybe you can solve this.
I just tested this, and I didn't have to remove anything after ||, and the link still worked. You can always replace all that in the edit modal, and just paste the URL.
I will forward this to our developers, so they can look into a possible solution in the future.
The code is there, because you have the option to add a custom class to the button, so you can style it through wpDataTables settings.
However, I don't need to remove anything after || in order for the link to work. Here are the steps in a new table:
1. Created a URL Link column with link displayed as a button:
2. Entered a value:
3. Saved
4. When editing the value, again, the code is there, but your initial comment said that the link would not work unless you remove ||<button class="">Click here</button>. But that works - Check the attached recording.
It also works if I change the URL to something else (I did not record that part, but it does work). It seems like you are missing <button and </button> from there, though.
Can you provide me a temporary wp-admin (administrator) user for your website, so I can take a look?
Please note that this is a public ticket, so make sure to enable the PRIVATE response.
I may have not taken a screenshot of it, but I did mention that the code is there:
When editing the value, again, the code is there
So, it shows the full URL followed by ||<button class="">Click here</button>
That's the default behavior of the plugin since you're enabling the button, and the button's code needs to be there. If you don't touch this code, the link is still going to work fine.

Ok, that is strange. I tested it independent of the browser and everywhere the same bug appears.
The steps are:
1. Switch on Display Links as Button (in Settings)
2. Create Entry with a Link
3. Save Entry
4. Edit Entry >> Link is shown as: https://xyz.org|| class="">Trusted Source<>

Hi Aleksandar,
Thank you for your reply.
However you are showing that you add a new entry. But then it is not shown.
It is after Saved, and re-open the Entry.
But never mind. It is more an extra action I need to take (remove custom code), but if it is intended it is okay.
Regards,
Ruben
