Is it possible to email a customer from within Amelia (that redirects to my gmail for example)?

Only automatic emails can be sent with Amelia, that are triggered by actions. So, if you enable "Appointment Approved" notification, it will be sent after the appointment has been approved, for example.
You do need to configure Notifications first.
