We're Moving to a New Support Platform – Starting June 1st!

We’re excited to let you know that starting June 1st, we’ll be transitioning to a new support system that will be available directly on our product websites – Amelia, wpDataTables, and Report Builder. In fact, the new support platform is already live for Amelia and wpDataTables, and we encourage you to reach out to us there.

You'll always be able to reach us through a widget in the bottom right corner of each website, where you can ask questions, report issues, or simply get assistance.

While we still do not offer live support, a new advanced, AI-powered assistant, trained on our documentation, use cases, and real conversations with our team, is there to help with basic to intermediate questions in no time.

We're doing our best to make this transition smooth and hassle-free. After June 1st, this current support website will redirect you to the new "Contact Us" pages on our product sites.

Thanks for your continued support and trust – we’re excited to bring you an even better support experience!

I read your guidelines about the general settings on your blog, but I couldnt find information about the specific "Include service buffer time in time slots" settings under General settings.

I have my default time slot step set to 15 minutes.

So my guess is, that if this "Include service buffer time in time slots" settings is enabled, students can always only book 15  minutes AFTER the last service ended, right?

I have one student book a 1 hr service from 1pm-2pm, then the next student can only book earliest 2:15pm-3:15pm?

Because this is what is happening, and I was wondering why my students choose so often "strange" starting times for their lesson, like quarter past or before...

Can I disable this setting and then students can book lessons one by each other, without any buffer in between?

    Hello Phil,

If the option Use service duration for booking a time slot  in Amelia -> Settings -> General is enabled then the time slots will be the same as service duration and on that time interval, and if it is disabled the time slots will be configured by the time interval you set for the option Default time slot step .

If the option Include service buffer time in time slots is enabled besides the enabled option Use service duration for booking a time slot , then the time slots will have duration - service duration + buffer times of the service and this will be used for configuring the time slots on the front-end.

If Include service buffer time in time slots is disabled the buffer time will be still taken in consideration for the first and last time slot in the employees' work hours (since service duration+its buffer times need to fit in the employees' work hours) - so if you have a buffer time before 15 min and the employees' work hours start at 9:00 the first time slot will be at 9:15 , the same applies for buffer time before and the last time slot.

If customers book an appointment the buffer will be taken into consideration, as this is a pause between employees' appointments, so if you have buffer set for the services, appointments can't be booked one after another - the buffer time will need to be between the appointments booked. If you don't want the employee to have pauses between appointments, you would need to remove the buffers.

If you have any other questions or concerns feel free to open a new ticket and we will gladly help out.
