Your plugin is very good and suits our needs. We are using it since the last 6 months. I am a coach based in France and most of my clients are in India. I have noticed a small but serious problem in the plugin version 2.9 that we are using. Here is what exactly is wrong:
When an Indian client books a session the coach receives the email with timings as per the timezone of the coach and the client receives timings as the per the time zone of client. Which is GREAT.
When the appointment is confirmed by Admin from the backend. The coach receives email with time as per his time zone and client receives email with time as per her time zone.
BUT, when the appointment is confirmed from FRONTEND by the COACH using Coach Login interface, the client receives email with time as the Coach timezone.
Glad to see that you like Amelia and that it is suitable for your needs!
Could you please tell me is the coach/employee timezone the timezone that is set in your WordPress General Settings? As this timezone setting applies to Amelia as well, so the back-end of Amelia and all of the employees are in this timezone (there isn't a possibility for employees to have their own timezones in Amelia, if it is different than the WP timezone set)
I can't reproduce the issue on our testing website, could you tell me do you have the newest version of Amelia, version 3.0.1?
I am using Amelia 2.9. The wordpress time-zone is set to CET (Paris) and in the settings I have selected the option 'Show booking slots in client time zone' so that clients can see the available booking slots as per their time zone. There is no option for employees to set their own time zone as you rightly said.
The client makes the booking and at the time of the booking the client sees the time slots in his/her timezone. Very Good, as expected. If the booking is approved by ADMIN using the wp-admin login. Everything works fine. The client receives an email with booking slot in his/her time zone. The employee receives an email with booking slot displayed in the installation timezone (i.e. WP installation timezone). Perfect. The problem is ONLY WHEN the booking is approved by the employee (using Amelia employee login). When the booking in approved by the employee the email that goes to the client displays the WP timezone rather than displaying the client timezone.
To replicate this problem, get one of your friend living in a different timezone create a new booking and then you login as employee to approve the booking and ask your friend to forward the email that she/he received after approval. I have done the same with multiple friends in multiple locations and every time they receive time slot in the email as per WP timezone if the booking is approved by the employee.
Thank you for your thorough explanation, I tested the exact same setup as you explained it on our testing website, and I can't reproduce the issue. Could you please update Amelia to the newest version, 3.0.1, and check then if the issue is still there? And if it is, please provide me a temporary WP-admin login for your site where this happens, so we could log in and take a look . We do not interfere with any data or anything else except for the plugin (in case that’s a production version of the site), and of course we do not provide login data to third party. You can write credentials here just check Private Reply so nobody can see them except us.
