I'm currently building a site for a client where this sort of concept is paramount. If their customers could purchase a package and then they can assign those "package" purchases to certain appointments.
Is there any way I can get an ETA on this concept. Because it will impact heavily how I set up this site, if this will be deployed in the next 30 days.
At the moment, if you need to book a package in your customer's stead, you can do it from front-end, through Incognito window.
I just spoke with our development team, and they said that they will work on adding the feature to book packages through back-end. When they'll be able to include it, though, is not something I can say. They have planned tasks for a couple of updates, and they're not sure they'll be able to squeeze this in the next 30 days.
Can you please elaborate? How can I book a package/service on behalf of the customer on the front end?
The customer already has login credentials (email and password), but I do not know their password. How can I add appointments to their account on their behalf?
I did not understand you want to do this for them through the panel; for a package which is already booked. You would be able to book a new package from front-end booking form, but adding appointments in an existing package is not possible at the moment, and the customer needs to do that.
You mentioned: "At the moment, if you need to book a package in your customer's stead, you can do it from front-end, through Incognito window."
I want to book a package for a customer. The customer already purchased a product and paid for it, but I now changed this product to the "package" after you launched the new upgrade. So I want to load a package into this customer's account for free (because he already paid for it).
I want to know more about your suggestion "do it from front-end, through Incognito window". How is this possible?
One possibility is to change the price of the product to zero for a few minutes, purchase a package using the customer's information, and changing the product back to regular price.
Is this what you're suggesting? And do you have other thoughts?
You need to do it as if you were the customer, because it cannot be done from back-end. We will include that in the future, but for now you need to do it from front-end, exactly like you described it.
Sorry for the delayed response, our support team is cut in half due to COVID-19 infestations.
I'm afraid, booking packages on the back-end wasn't added yet. We had to implement a few features (for example, HTML format in notifications) that have been pending for a long time first.
We will have to check it with our developers, but most probably this feature will be added in the next update or the one after.
We added options to book appointments with already booked packages, so for example, a customer purchased a package, and you can go to Amelia/Services/Packages, filter per date of purchase, and add an appointment for that package.
However, you still can't book an appointment from the back-end, but our developers are still working on this. We are making progress, but what you're looking for is still not complete.
Is there at least a vague ETA for this feature? I'd like to switch to Amelia, and for the time being I can use the "switch user" plugin, to switch into a user, to manage appoinments as them. But it's just a quickfix.
If this feature is high on the roadmap then it's ok, but if it's something that will be implemented a year from now, tha is a problem.
Could we please get the option to add a package set of appointments on behalf of the customer for the backend interface? Thank you!
Hello Clayton
Thank you for your purchase.
At the moment, this is not possible, and if you wish to book a package in your customer's stead, you can use the incognito window.
This will be added in the future.
Kind Regards,
Aleksandar Vuković

Is there any ETA on this feature?
Hello Matt
This hasn't been included in the v4.0 update, but our team added it in the next 3-month sprint, so it should be complete before September.
I can't make any promises, but it is planned to be added in that timeframe.
Kind Regards,

Hi gain Matt
Unfortunately, I don't have an ETA on that. Our developers do have it planned for Q1, 2022, but I can't say exactly when it will be complete.
It could be sooner, but it shouldn't be later, but again - I can't guarantee anything.
Kind Regards,
