Limiting the number of bookings per person

Hi, can you limit the number of bookings per user with Amelia?

I will offer different packages in which users can book free of charge an appointment with a doctor.

For ex. package A will allow 1 free appointment, package B will allow 3 free appointments, and so on.

Therefore I will need a feature that will prevent package A user to book more than 1 appointment and package B user to book more than 3 appointments.

Will that be possible with Amelia?

    Thanks

    Simone

    Hi Simone Chiapparini,

Thank you for your interest in our plugin.

In our packages you can limit the number of appointments that customer will be able to book in each of the created packages. If you package consist of one service "Appointment with doctor" you can select that service and set "Number of appointments" to 1 for package A and to 3 for package B. Customer will not be able to make more appointments than it is set in the package but you should know that we don't have the option to prevent customer from purchasing the package again and booking more appointments. That means that each customer can purchase both packages and repeat that purchase later.

    Best regards.

Hi, I'm picking up this conversation from few months ago.

I have bought Amelia, but I cannot see where can I set the number of appointments in a service... could you send me a screenshot of where is this feature please?

    Thanks

    Hi Simone,

I am not sure that I understood the question but I will tell you what is possible with our plugin.

Each service can have minimum and maximum capacity set for the customers that can book one appointment. If you set minimum and maximum as 1 then your service will accept only single appointments but if you set a larger maximum capacity you will allow group bookings for the same appointment (service). Options to set minimum and maximum capacity you can find when you click Add Service or Edit Service on the Service page.

If you mean to limit the number of services that can be booked in one day, then unfortunately this option is not available at the moment.

    Best regards.

    Hi,

I'll try to explain better: I don't want a user to be able to book the same service more than once.

I have attached a screenshot of the settings of one of the services, you can see that min and max capacity are set to 1.

The problem is that, as a user, I am able to book the same service over and over again.

To note: the services I have created are free because are included in a subscription plan.

    How can I solve this?

    Thanks

    Hi Simone,

As I can see from the old conversation, you've been asking about creating the packages in our plugin and packages can have limits. In our plugin, you can create packages of services and put a price for the whole package. Once the customer purchases the package he will get access to the customers' panel (that you need to add to the front-end page on your website) and be able to book the rest of the appointments purchased in the package for free. Once the limit added to the package is reached the customer will no longer have the option to book appointments, but he will be able to purchase the package again.

From the picture you have provided to us, I can see that you have been creating the services, not packages and services don't have the limit by a single customer. Customers cannot book the same service at the same time using the same email, but they can book the same service at different times. If you don't see the Packages tab on the Service page, then you don't have the proper license, since packages are supported in our Pro and Developer licenses.

More about packages you can read here.

Since you have bought our license, I advise you to open a new ticket in the Amelia section of this support platform. This section is only for the pre-purchase questions and once you have purchased our plugin you've got access to our premium support that can help you with setting Amelia plugin in details.

    Best regards.

Hi, thanks I think that the Package element should solve the issue.

Just one more question: can I set the package price to be 0?

As each package will be included in a subscription plan (payments are handled by memberpress plugin).

    Hi Simone,

Yes, the package price can be set to 0. That is not a problem, when creating a package just set the discount to 100%, or if all the services are 0, the price will be 0.
