We're Moving to a New Support Platform – Starting June 1st!

We’re excited to let you know that starting June 1st, we’ll be transitioning to a new support system that will be available directly on our product websites – Amelia, wpDataTables, and Report Builder. In fact, the new support platform is already live for Amelia and wpDataTables, and we encourage you to reach out to us there.

You'll always be able to reach us through a widget in the bottom right corner of each website, where you can ask questions, report issues, or simply get assistance.

While we still do not offer live support, a new advanced, AI-powered assistant, trained on our documentation, use cases, and real conversations with our team, is there to help with basic to intermediate questions in no time.

We're doing our best to make this transition smooth and hassle-free. After June 1st, this current support website will redirect you to the new "Contact Us" pages on our product sites.

Thanks for your continued support and trust – we’re excited to bring you an even better support experience!

    Hi,

I'd like to know if it's possible to make a timeslot stay open until an appointment request has been approved?

My client often has appointment requests, but nearly 50% of the customers will cancel the appointment in the end. So she'd like it very much if this is possible.

    Desired functionality:

    1. Customer makes appointment for a service on a timeslot
    2. Timeslot will remain open for other customers until the appointment is approved
    3. Once it's approved the timeslot will not be available anymore

    Thank you,
    Steven

    Hello Steven

    Thank you for your purchase.

You need to set the default appointment status to "Pending" in Amelia's General settings, and in Service's settings.

Then, go to Appointment settings, and enable "Allow booking above maximum capacity". Your customers will be able to book appointments above maximum capacity, until you approve one of them. When one customer is approved, the time slot will close, and only that customer will be approved.

    Kind Regards,

    Thank you Aleksandar,

And is it possible to make a payment later for an appointment? Because I find it a bit invasive if someone gets a payment screen when the appointment hasn't even been approved yet.

I do want to keep the instant WooCommerce payment for events / courses.

    Cheers,
    Steven

I just tested what you told me to do, regarding my original ticket.

And what I noticed is that it sort of works. But when I wanted to book a second time on the same date, there was only one time slot available. The one that I chose the first time.

What I need is that all time slots remain open, until one appointment has been approved.

    Is this possible?

    Hi again Steven

Payments can't be handled later because if you go for PayPal or Stripe (or even WooCommerce), you're selling an appointment, and it needs to be purchased. I don't know if WooCommerce has some add-on that would delay the payment, but if it is, it will probably work.

As for the pending appointment - it can't leave all time slots remain open, until one appointment has been approved because the appointment is linked to an employee at the time of its creation. The employee is, therefore, reserved for this time slot, and since he can't work on multiple appointments at the same time, other time slots can't be offered.

You would need to create additional employees.
