new services not showing in any catalog

For some strange reason some services are not showing when I have the shortcode on my site, for example if I use [ameliacatalog category=4] I know that this has 6 services but only shows one. All settings are set correctly, so i created a local environment to carry out some testing. I have found that any new services that I add will not show up from the category that I set. If I move an old service to another current category then this works. But if I also move an old service to a new category then this does not work. So it only seems to be anything new that I am setting up is not working at all. Any ideas?

    Hope that makes some sense

    Kind Regards

One other note that maybe not related but thought I would check. When I installed this many months ago I did this as administrator of the Wordpress site. I then created an Amelia manager who then logged in and created all of the services.

The one thing here is that when I log in as the wordpress admin and click on services, it states none has been created. If I login as the amelia manager then I can see all of the services that have been setup. Does this sound OK or should I have created all of the services under the administrator account first?. If the answer is yes, then how can I move these services so as all of them are shown under services while logged in as the wordpress administrator. Just thought that I would mention this incase it has caused the issues that I am now seeing.

One more update after further testing. I can confirm now 100% that I can move any current service into other Categorie and using the shortcode it works as expected. If I create a new Categorie and move one of the current services into that it works fine. If I put in the shortcode everything shows as expected, however any new service does not show in any categorie. I have checked that all the service details are correct and these are set perfectly, but does not show on page. Any ideas as to what this could be? Its urgent for me as it is a live location that is using this and currently nothing can be booked.

    Hello Mike,

Apologies for replying a bit later, Friday was a non-working day and we don't work on weekends.

Thank you, Happy and Safe New Year to you too.

Could you please check if you assigned the new service to any employee and to some of their work hours (under the Work hours tab, if you have chosen some services there for the work time periods)? Also, check if enabled the option Show service on site for these services (when you open/edit the service).

If this doesn't help, please provide me a temporary WP-admin login for your site where this happens, so we could log in and take a look. Also, let me know what category/service should we look into.

We do not interfere with any data or anything else except for the plugin (in case that’s a production version of the site), and of course we do not provide login data to third party. You can write credentials here just check Private Reply so nobody can see them except us.

    Hi Marija,

I missed the area assigned to any of the employees' work hours too. Did that and all looks good. This ticket can be closed and thank you for all the help. One ending question, lets say the hairdresser is sitting in the barbers and a customer comes in and asks for an appointment. He/She is already a customer or it could be a new customer, but the customer wants the hairdresser to enter the appointment into the system. What would be the best steps to complete this do you think?

Thanks again for all the support

    Kind Regards

    Hi Mike,

Glad to see the issue is gone, thank you for letting me know.

    You are welcome!

If they have the employee role in Amelia and they are booking an appointment for a customer - they can't create new customers in the back-end of Amelia or in the employee panel, they can only book appointments with the created customers. So, they would need to go through the front-end booking to book an appointment for a new customer.

If you have any other questions or concerns feel free to open a new ticket and we will gladly help out.
