I have enabled the automatic creation of amelia user under role settings but it does not create any user in wordpress users after scheduling any appointment. So user is unable to login into profile and check appointments. Moreover user is not getting any emails to set password.
When the option Automatically create Amelia Customer user in Roles Settings is enabled, when a customer books an appointment , they will be created as a WordPress user with the Amelia Customer role. If this doesn't happen in your case, please check if you maybe already have a WP user with the email address of the customer/person that booked an appointment - in this case it isn't possible to connect the customer to a WP user (only maybe in case when they are booking an appointment while logged in to WP or manually adding the Amelia Customer role to a WP user, besides the one they already have - using a plugin for this purpose , like for example User role editor. Please note that administrator user can't mix with any of the Amelia roles, as admin has all the permissions in Amelia as the rest of the website, so they don't need an Amelia role).
If this is not the case (if you don't have a user with that email address) , please check if you have some security or membership plugin that could block WP users to be created with the Amelia Customer role automatically in WP.
For setting up the front-end Customer panel you should follow these instructions. When the customer is created both in Amelia and WordPress when they book, these two are connected and customers can login to the Customer panel with their WP Login information.
But, if the above option is disabled, if a customer is not created in WP users automatically, then customers can access the Customer panel via a link in the notifications (in the approved appointment notification), and when they access it the first time they create a password for them and later on they use that email/password to login to the Panel.
This placeholder is a link for the panel %customer_panel_url% just be sure that you copy/paste it to the Message field from the Placeholders list. So when you go to Amelia -> Notifications, click on the </> Show Email Placeholders, when you find this placeholder click on it, it will be copied and then paste it to the notifications that you want.
I have checked all the settings in wordpreess, there is no plugin which is blocking the creation of user. One interesting thing is that when i create customer from amelia backend dashboard , it creates user in wordpress too and then login works fine. But if i book appointment from booking view on website page then it does not create user in wordpress.
And the customer panel url lands on customer login page , it does not go to the option where someone can set password.
That is strange, as it should work the same from the back-end and on the front-end, there is probably something blocking the WP User creation, as we haven't had such complaint before and we can't reproduce it. Please provide me a temporary WP-admin login for your site where this happens, so we could log in and take a look. We do not interfere with any data or anything else except for the plugin (in case that’s a production version of the site), and of course we do not provide login data to third party. You can write credentials here just check Private Reply so nobody can see them except us.
And the customer panel url lands on customer login page , it does not go to the option where someone can set password.
Sorry , not sure if I understood this quite well - is the customer logged in to the panel right away? Please check if you are logged in to WP - try this from an incognito page or while logged out from WP. And also check if the option for the password required is enabled in Amelia -> Roles settings.
I tried with another email address from another web browser with private window and it worked like charm. May be the issue was with email address , even I tried after deleting that email address from database and from everywhere in amelia dashboard. So finally its working fine now. I really appreciate your quick responses. You guys have perfect after sales support. Happy new Year in advance.
