So, background image lets you choose the image. Size defines the size of the image, so it doesn't escape the button's size. width and height define button's size, and color:transparent makes the "More Details" text disappear from front-end (it can't be removed any other way).
I am sorry to disappoint you, but unfortunately something like this is not possible with the plugin's built-in features.
You may be able to include them as a custom solution, but that's not included in the plugin's support. I can only offer advice, like the one from my previous comment, but nothing more.
hi -
we were able to add a button to links in a table column as you describe here:
https://wpdatatables.com/documentation/addons/master-detail-tables/
but can we replace the link text with a chart icon?
thanks
Hello Dave
You can add a custom class for that button; for example:
Then define that class in wpDataTables settings/Custom JS and CSS/Custom CSS field:
So, background image lets you choose the image. Size defines the size of the image, so it doesn't escape the button's size. width and height define button's size, and color:transparent makes the "More Details" text disappear from front-end (it can't be removed any other way).
I hope that helps.

not sure but svg icons do work fine.,,,
SVG icons work fine when you replace text with them? In URL Link columns, or in string-type columns?
