    Hi, 

    I just wanted to buy Amelia, but it always asks me to buy with VAT but I live in the Canary Islands and The Canary Islands are not part of Community territory for the purposes of VAT (Article 6 of VAT Directive).

    How am I supposed to pay? Just add another country?

    Hi Sven,

    VAT does not exist in the Canary Islands. As you are geographically part of Spain, our system recognizes your IP address as VAT paying and eligible for a refund as well

    Since Canary Island is tax-exempt, we normally advise customers to place the order now, and then we will refund the VAT and set the account to be tax-exempt after the order was placed. This is to be done by us manually.

    So if you can please send us an invoice after the purchase and we will refund you VAT.

    Hi, 

    Thanks for that - I did not wait and added Monaco as my residence.... which did not seem to bother the credit card company... 

    Maybe I need to change it back to Canary Islands and then you make it as tax excempt...

    Since a lot of time has passed since you opened this ticket,

    we will just pass all the general informations about buying our plugins and VAT.

    Our plugins are being sold through a reseller (Paddle), 

    and the only payment methods are PayPal or credit cards. Their receipt contains their VAT number.

    As indicated on our website, if you are from a country where VAT or GST applies, a VAT/GST charge will be added to the transaction:

    During purchase, you can leave your company's VAT number, so if that VAT number checks out, the VAT is automatically deducted from the transactions. 

    If the VAT number of your company is not registered during the purchase, you can reach out to Paddle after purchase via this form and they will retroactively refund the VAT amount.
