Yes, we have discovered a bug with this, our developers are working to resolve it as soon as possible.
At this time, what you have to do is, ( and this goes same for email field, if you ever need to manipulate it);
you have to place both settings, in Amelia General Settings > But also in Amelia Customize, please select the right Form Type, and the right Form Flow that you need to change, and go to a step where the Phone field appears; then find this little pen icon, it will allow you to edit it like this :
Let me know if you have any questions. Thank you
And our developers will work to improve this behaviour, so that only one of the "settings" needs to be checked, in order for non-mandatory phone ( or email).
How can I make the PHONE field mandatory in Amelia?
Edit: Found it in the general settings...

Hi,
Things changed and now I need the phone field to be NON-mandatory.
Actually, I want to REMOVE the phone number field. But first, it must be NON-mandatory.
So in Settings --> General, I set "Set a phone number as a mandatory field" to off.
But the phone field stays mandatory. How can I make it non-mandatory?
Kind regards,
Maurice

Hi Miloš,
Okay, thank you for the feedback and the workaround. At least it works now and we can continue.
Bye,
Maurice
Hi, Maurice
You're welcome.
Our devs will keep working to completely fix this, so that it will become easier for users, but for now we have to use that workaround.
Thank you very much, and if anything else happens, don't hesitate to open a new ticket.
