If you enable "Popover editing" in the Editing tab above the table, the button will appear above the row you clicked on, in the left part of the screen.
At one time I had created a table manually and was using it for only my user admins to see from the front end. Then I copied the table and used the same sql db, then I added that copied table (set for users to see and manage only their own data) to my subscribers front end. It worked great and the subscribers could add rows and they showed up in the admins table as I needed. Then I may have accidentally deleted the db when I cleaned up some old dbs on my server. But at least that's when it broke. But I thought no problem, I'll simply copy my original admin version using a new db and start over to copy that one with the same db and again have the same scenario (a master for my admin and one for my subscribers). The problem is that now I get a popup message that there was an error trying to insert a new row.
I can't say what's going on without taking a look at your tables, and your database.
Can you provide me a temporary wp-admin user (administrator), and database access credentials (phpMyAdmin or cPanel), so I can remote in and see what's going on? Make sure to tell me which table ID I should be looking at.
You can write credentials here just check Private Reply so nobody can see them except us.
All I did was to delete the extra tables from wp-admin>wpdatatables>Browse Tables. I don't know why that would have deleted db's for the tables I kept.
I recreated the tables with new db's and deleted the old and all seems seems well... I am trying to hide 3 fields from the Subscriber Add New Entry from. These three fields (columns) have placeholders %CURRENT_DATETIME%, %CURRENT_USER_FIRST_NAME%, and %CURRENT_USER_LAST_NAME%. When I disable the editing in those columns so they will not show in the New Entry Form they show the placeholder code instead of the actual d/t, user first and last names. How do I do this correctly?
I see, Mark, if that's the case, we'll need to hide them with custom CSS from the modal itself.
Can you tell me what's the table ID, and what are those columns, and I'll log into your website (given that the credentials still work), and find the correct selectors for you?
Please send me that CSS you were referring to that I might "To move "+ New Entry" to the left, I'd need to take a look at this, and find the correct CSS selector you need to use."
Is there a way to show a link to New Entry on a page other than where it shows above my sheet?
Hello Mark
If you enable "Popover editing" in the Editing tab above the table, the button will appear above the row you clicked on, in the left part of the screen.

Hello Aleksandar,
Sure, that is the [wpdatatable id=33] that I hope to hide the "First", "Last" and "Date" columns from the Add New Entry Form.
Thanks so much for your great support!
Mark

You're welcome Mark.
Where can I find that page? I checked your website, but I don't see the screen you provided in your last response.
