If I understood you correctly, you simply want to send a pre-filtered URL to the client? If that's true you can do it, of course. You just need to find the column ID (they start at 0, so if you're filtering per 3rd column, it should be column [2]).
thanks for the reply. Yes in principle that's what i want to do. BUT :) I am able to configure these links no problem. My colleagues (about 80 people, mainly sales) are not as adapt and can't put together such URLs themselves.
Also, the table that we have is too long with too many variables that i could make all sorts of URLs and provide them to my colleagues.
So my idea was, that my colleauges would go to our website, filter whatever they want and the plugin would write the filter into the URL automatically. Then my colleagues can send the per-filtered URL that they just created to their client.
For example we something similar implemented here:
Alternatively, it would be possible to have a sort of "share this table" button, which would create the corresponding URL. How we get to the result doesn't really matter, but it must be easy enough for a lot of people to create their individuel URLs at any given time.
Because of the links you posted, i know pre-filtering through URL is possible. The question is how can we give this powerful tool to the user.
Ah, I see Thomas, but unfortunately something like this is not possible.
It's an awesome idea, and I know a lot of people would benefit from it, but it simply can't be done without some customization. Custom requests like this are not included in support for the plugin, and our developers don't have time to work on them at the moment.
Hi,
i have read that it is possible to filter a table with URL parameters. Is it also possible to set the URL parametery while filtering?
Example: a colleague would pre-filter a table on our website. Then send the pre filtered URL with parameters to a client.
That would be perfect! Thanks for the help.
Regards Thomas
Hello Thomas
Thank you for your purchase.
If I understood you correctly, you simply want to send a pre-filtered URL to the client? If that's true you can do it, of course. You just need to find the column ID (they start at 0, so if you're filtering per 3rd column, it should be column [2]).
For example, this is a page in our documentation referring to prefiltering through URL: https://wpdatatables.com/documentation/table-features/global-search-via-url/
I can send you a pre-filtered URL where second column (City) is filtered with "Linz":
https://wpdatatables.com/documentation/table-features/global-search-via-url/?wdt_column_filter[1]=Linz

Can you please suggest this feature on this page?
