I am following the instructions for setting up everything, and honestly the setup for the Google Calender as well as Payment settings are quite cumbersome for me.
I have several questions and issues:
1.) The paypal sandbox function is here to make a test with payments via Paypal, do I understand this correctly? Can I self test it if it works? When I try to book a lesson on my page I can do so without any direction to Paypal or doing any sort of payment. I want my clients to pay in advance.
A problem when trying to book a lesson on my page is the following:
2.) [solved] As you can see in the URL I sent, on my page after chossing date&time, there comes the payment option and there is one field which is required but empty and I cannot figure out what this should be. (Also see my screenshot) edit: I think I solved this issue by disabling "Labels" in settings. It disappeared now and I can book on my page.
4.) I would also like to know what my clients can do who have neither Google Calender nor Outlook? They won't have any chance to see their booking in any calender, right?
5.) How can I setup time zones for my customers? Most of my clients are not in my timezone, therefore they must choose their timezone or automatically get shown the available times in their time zone?!
Thank you for your help, I am really overwhelmed setting this up alone.
1. You need to copy the sandbox credentials from PayPal into Amelia, and enable PayPal as the payment method in Payment settings. If you did enable PayPal as the payment method, and your service's price is 0, PayPal window will be skipped. Also, if you enabled it there, and the price is above 0, but PayPal is being skipped, go to the Service, and check service settings - see if you maybe enabled a different payment method for that service. You also need to create a sandbox customer in PayPal in order to test it. You can't use your real credentials with Sandbox mode.
2. Thanks for letting us know this was resolved.
4. Customers are not affected by our Google or Outlook calendar integration. Those are included only for employees. Your customers have the option to add the booking to their calendars when they see the Congratulations screen:
If they don't have either of those, or they don't want to use them, you are able to configure the Front-end customer panel, where they can see their bookings and events.
5. Amelia doesn't have any time zone settings, it inherits the time zone from WordPress. If your time zone is in UTC+/- format, please change it by selecting the city near you. Also, please check if you enabled "Show bookings in customer's time zone" in Amelia's General settings.
If you are in a different time zone than your WordPress site is, and you've enabled this option, the times on front-end will show available time slots in your time zone, which will be the time you set in back-end +/- the time difference (depending on where you are in regards to the time zone set in WordPress' General settings).
So, if you enable "Show bookings in customer's time zone" in Amelia's General settings, your customers will see time slots in their time zone.
