    Hello,

I'm the notifications settings I can edit the email which invites customers to log in to the front end customer panel. I have the panel on a custom url: http://simplykeys.org/customer-portal

However when I register as a customer, all I recieve is an email from WordPress telling me to set a password. When I try to log in via this link, I meet a page that says I do not have access to this site.

I want my customers to be able to log in to the front end portal after their first booking. How do I do this?

    Best,

    Charlie Kew

    Hello Charlie,

The email that you get from WordPress when booking as a customer is because the option Automatically create Amelia Customer user in Amelia -> Settings -> Roles settings is enabled, and in this case when someone books an appointment in Amelia they are created as customers in Amelia and as users in WordPress with the Amelia customer role. If you don't want this please disable this option and Amelia customers won't be created as WP users and they won't get the WP email.

Regarding email notifications sent from Amelia you need to configure them by following our instructions. And then you can add the customer panel link to the Approved appointment notifications, so when customers book an appointment in Amelia they get the notification and the link for the customer panel in it.

When customers access the panel for the first time via the link in their email notification, they will need to create a password and later on they use that email/password to login to the Panel.

You add the customer panel link to the emails by adding the placeholder for it, %customer_panel_url% - just be sure that you copy/paste it to the Message field from the Placeholders list. So when you go to Amelia -> Notifications, click on the </> Show Email Placeholders, when you find this placeholder click on it, it will be copied and then paste it to the notifications that you want. Also, please check if you provided the URL of your page for the Customer panel in that field in Amelia -> Settings -> Roles Settings -> Customer.

Thanks for your message, I have disabled the wp user registration.

As for setting up the log in.. Aree you suggesting I should update my amelia> notification settings with smtp details? I have tried this and it no longer sends any emails when I make a booking.

I've taken the details straight from my email clients info so should I contact them about it? Or are you referring to other instructions with regards to setting up customer log in?

    Best, Charlie

    You are welcome, Charlie.

If the email notifications from Amelia were sent before and you have already set that up, you shouldn't change anything in the notification settings - just add the customer panel link (placeholder) to the Approved appointment notification.

I mentioned setting up email notification in Amelia if you already didn't do that at all - if you didn't have email notifications set at all in Amelia.

Thank you this has worked perfectly.

I've noticed that the customer details are loaded into the form automatically, when I choose a new booking while logged in. However the customer fields are not... I would like it if they were to streamline bookings, is that possible?

    You are welcome, Charlie.

Customers' info are pre-filled in the form, yes, when they are logged in to the panel or to WP, but there isn't a possibility for custom fields to be pre-filled - the custom fields are not customers' information, these fields are connected to appointments not customers, and this is why they can't be pre-filled in the booking process.
