Hi,Do I understand it correct that currently there are two user right profiles for employees?
- Amelia Manager - Amelia Employee
At this point we need some employees to be able to see each others appointments. What also would be handy is that some collegues could change the hours of others.
At his point I need to put them in as an Manager. However, I don't like the idea of making so much managers in the system since they can make new services or change to much in there.
In the past I've tried to make an custom user role, but that caused that the users given that role didn't even saw the amelia button anymore on the left panel. (Even when I've put all amelia rights on).
For employees there is only the Amelia Employee user role in Amelia.
There is a user role Amelia Manager in Amelia, but this user role doesn't have a front-end panel, only employees and customers have front-end panels with Amelia's current features.
Amelia manager user role gives more access and permissions in Amelia to users, than the Employee role. The difference between them and admin access to Amelia is that managers can't delete anything, can't customize the front-end and doesn’t have access to settings.
There isn't another role that could give employees access to other employees' appointments, unfortunately, there isn't a way to achieve what you want with the current Amelia roles . You can try adding more permissions to the employee role using User role editor but we can't guarantee that will work well, unfortunately.
If you have any other questions or concerns feel free to open a new ticket and we will gladly help out.
Is there no way, even with a role editor to make something like that?
To lets say, make a user role that could:
- USERROLE: only read all the appointments in the system, but cannot make any changes.
Or as new feature (but... i think this might be to much to ask):
- Assign other emplyee(s) to a "employee group". With checkboxes in the group page you can choose what members of a group can do with the group members: view each others appointments, change each others appointments, delete each others appointments, change each others working hours, special days and vacation,.... An employee can be a member of different employee groups.
A few other schools around are asking me information about our booking system. I told I really like Amelia, but this is a serious issue that is holding them back.
You can try with some user editor, like User role editor, to change the employee role or the Amelia manager role to remove some of the permissions they have using this plugin, but we can't guarantee that this will work, unfortunately.
But that still isn't an Amelia role, and the plugin doesn't recognize it as such, so it doesn't give permissions to it - since it isn't an Amelia role it can't access Amelia. There isn't a possibility for custom roles to access and see Amelia. Like I mentioned earlier, you can only try changing the Amelia Manager role and if you need other access/ permissions for this user in your WP , you can give them more roles using the plugin User role editor - with it users can have more than one role in WP, so you can give them both Amelia Manager and some other user role, if that can help you achieve what you need.

Thx for checking the userRole for me!
Hi Laurent,
You can try with some user editor, like User role editor, to change the employee role or the Amelia manager role to remove some of the permissions they have using this plugin, but we can't guarantee that this will work, unfortunately.
You can suggest this as a feature request here.

Hi,
I've made an exact copy of the amelia manager role with the "User Role Editor" plugin.
However, when I assign this to a user, this user can't see the Amelia button on the wordpress dashboard.
Could you please explain why this exact copy of the role doesn't work? I really need this.
Thx!
Hi Laurent,
