    Hi There,

I am gong to be fully replacing my website with a newly designed site and I would like to migrate my Amelia plug-in and retain all my info. can you tell me how I can successfully do this? My site is working flawlessly and synced with google calendar of all my employees. Can I copy the Client ID and Client and Direct URI once I reinstall Amelia on the new site? How do I keep all my data from the App (customizations, services, options, structures, etc)?

    Hi Juan Robles-Gil,

We recommend Duplicator plugin for website migration, with it you duplicate the whole website. There isn't some way that we could recommend Amelia only , though, unfortunately.

The redirect URI  for Google can be changed in your Google account, and in Amelia's database directly (when you finish migration) and we can send you instructions on how to do that, if needed, since this field in Amelia -> Settings -> Integrations -> Google calendar settings isn't editable.

    Hi Marija,

Thanks for your response. Unfortunately duplicator won't work because I'm essentially throwing away everything out from the old site except the Amelia plug in as it stands. There's no way to copy the data from the c panel for the plug in and replace it in the new site when I reinstall?

Will I have to purchase a new Amelia license ?

    Hi Juan,

Apologies for replying a bit later, we don't work on weekends.

You are welcome. Unfortunately, there isn't some tool/way that we could recommend for this.  If you know your way around databases, you can install Amelia on the new website, and then copy the data from your old database there. You would need to copy data from all of the amelia tables, and the data from the amelia_settings option that is saved in your wp_options table ( it can have another prefix rather than wp_ depending on your database). But , please note that this should be done only if you know working with databases.

If you are moving Amelia to another domain, you don't need to purchase new Amelia, you just have to transfer your license from your old domain to the new one. You can delete the old domain in our store, in the Manage domains section there. And then you will be able to activate your purchase code on your new website in Amelia -> Settings -> Activation.

    Marija,

I am using the same domain. I want to activate the plug in in my new website but its prompting me to buy it again. The activation page is disabled. Please advice!

Also, I don't see any options on the store to download the plug-in files to do the manual activation. Please help!

    Hi Juan,

The messages that you get and the screenshot that you sent show that you have the Lite version of Amelia not the full version. You need to login to our store and download the plugin from there, and then update Amelia to full version by following these instructions. Please scroll horizontally if you don't see everything in the store, you should have the Download button there. If you can't see it please see screenshots of what you see in the store.

    Marija,

I ended up just buying a new version of the plug-in and reinstalled it in my new site. I am going to open up a new ticket because now I have a major bug in the plug in that is unrelated to this ticket. I would really appreciate your help.

Thanks a lot. I cant tell you how much I like Amelia and how it has improved my practice. I am very much looking forward to getting it to work again on my new site. The only thing we are missing is the Google calendar sync as the Redirect URI request from Amelia is being sent from the old website data and I cant find the "ghost". Thanks so much
