I have a problem with a simple table (it helps federal workers find their workplaces for a charity giving program), it is posted publicly for look up purposes at the above link. On the filter "Department Name", which is designed to act like a pull down menu (and works that way on the back end of my WP site), the only way that you can get the filter to work is to type ahead a digit and then the selection list comes up. I have this issue with this type of filter on all of my WP data tables. Is there a setting fix for that.
Also, I've not been able to get the google sheets import function to work, I get an error message every time. I've seem some comments on your forums that indicate this may be a common problem. Has there been a fix?
The issue is with all drop-downs on our tables, and it's caused by a conflict with some other plugin's Bootstrap.js files. Please go to wpDataTables settings and disable the "Include full bootstrap front-end" check-box. Reload the table on front-end and see if that helps. If not, I'll need to remote into your website and see if there's something I can do with our code, to exclude Bootstrap, but let's not get ahead of ourselves.
As for the Google Spreadsheet - the plugin works fine with it, and issues usually happen due to user errors:
Copied the wrong URL (one from the "Published" modal, instead of the browser's address bar)
First 5 rows are empty
There are merged cells in the spreadsheet
The first row holds the structure of the table, so if you have 3 headers in the first row, and columns below have 5, 7, 25 (pick a number) of columns, the table will not be able to generate
There are other reasons why the table wouldn't create, but I don't want to go into details, and be too technical here, since I assume the issue is pretty easy to resolve.
The fix for the pull down filter worked perfectly, as did the google sheets clarification.
I posted another, very minor issue with the appearance of the check box filter on the left, need to widen it so that the user can read the full description. CSS setting?
Love the plug in and the documentation is great.

Can you please provide me the link to the Google Spreadsheet file, and tell me are you creating a table linked to the Google Spreadsheet file or are you importing the file?
Also, please note that this is a public ticket so enable the PRIVATE response when sharing your Spreadsheet file.
Kind Regards,
