I was wondering if it's possible to send reminders at specific times before an appointment, e.g. 24 hours, 1 hour, 15 minutes before. I can see we can schedule a 'next day' reminder, but this is a bit useless if it's not triggered by when the appointment is, because the customer's appointment can be actually before the reminder is sent. What I really need is to be able to automatically remind them for example 1 hour before that they have an appointment.
There isn't such possibility in Amelia, unfortunately. The 'reminder notification' is the only notification that could be sent to customers as a reminder of the appointment, but it isn't the case that it could be sent after an appointment like you mentioned - it is sent always one day before the appointment at the time you set on the Amelia -> Notifications page, for the Scheduled for option.
You can check out the Web hooks feature, it can be used for sending data to another automation tool via hooks from Amelia, so if you want you can use it wiht some email automation tool.
If you have any other questions or concerns feel free to open a new ticket and we will gladly help.
I must say that this is a real disappointment that this feature isn't built in. It's such an obvious thing to have for any app for events or appointments! Is this even something that you're planning on adding?
I don't think the webhook feature would allow to send automated reminder emails before the scheduled appointment. At least not from what I can see in the support document you linked.
I don't per se want to switch to another provider, especially since I've got Amelia set up already, but I might have to, to be honest. It seems that most of your competition already has this feature.
At the moment, with Amelia's current features, only one reminder notification can be sent from Amelia, and that is the 'Appointment next day reminder' that is sent at the specified time one day before the appointment.
You can suggest this as a feature request here, or vote for it if there is such request there, so it can be considered for implementation in the future.
