Hi,
During Lockdown, our shop wishes to use two Amelia services. One for Click and Collect and one for virtual meetings.
Both of these need separate instructions to be sent to the customer but I can only see one place to write the email text for customer notifications.
Am I missing something or is this a software design issue?
Many thanks.
Hello Paul,
Thank you for your message.
I am afraid it's not a design issue.
Notification logic is based on the Amelia plugin purpose which is related to bookings in essence rather than click and collect services.
Hi Dan.
Thanks for the reply.
Click and collect is a booking, as much as virtual meetings are.
Do all of your clients either have 100% virtual meetings or or 100% physical meetings? I'm surprised.
I genuinely think that this should be on your roadmap. Or even a text field which is specific to each service which can be added to an email.
Different services should require different communications.
Ok, u understand that it isn't there at the moment. I'll improvise.
Thanks again.
Paul
Hello Paul,
I have clarified your question with my tech team and it's not possible to have different notifications per service, however, you can style the template in a way that covers both instances.
So, assuming service 1 is "click and collect", and service 2 is "online service", you can assign specific custom fields to these services and use those in the notifications.
For example:
"Thank you for booking %service_name%.
For click and collect service, please follow %custom_field_1%.
For online service, please follow %custom_field_2%."
So these two custom fields would actually be instructions for these two services.
