We're Moving to a New Support Platform – Starting June 1st!
We’re excited to let you know that starting June 1st, we’ll be transitioning to a new support system that will be available directly on our product websites – Amelia, wpDataTables, and Report Builder. In fact, the new support platform is already live for Amelia and wpDataTables, and we encourage you to reach out to us there.
You'll always be able to reach us through a widget in the bottom right corner of each website, where you can ask questions, report issues, or simply get assistance.
While we still do not offer live support, a new advanced, AI-powered assistant, trained on our documentation, use cases, and real conversations with our team, is there to help with basic to intermediate questions in no time.
We're doing our best to make this transition smooth and hassle-free. After June 1st, this current support website will redirect you to the new "Contact Us" pages on our product sites.
Thanks for your continued support and trust – we’re excited to bring you an even better support experience!
Dear TMS-Team,
followed your instructions on https://wpdatatables.com/faqmd/can-table-not-show-properly-use-limit-table-width-internet-explorer/ and added the line in .php file, but still no table showing in IE (cache cleared). Any hints?
Thanks in advance!
Greetings, Clemens
I am having the same issues but am stuck on the first hurdle.
Can anyone tell me how to find the file to edit it?
Ankit,
you can find it via FTP server: just follow the instruction in the link below - there you see the path where to find it:
../wp-content/plugins/wpdatatables/source/class.wpdatatable.php
cheers, C
Hello Clemens, hello Ankit
From version 3.0 we've included a new color picker in the plugin. Unfortunately, it is not supported by Internet Explorer, and this is why the table breaks.
We will remove or alter that part of the code for our next update, and the issue should be resolved.
Kind Regards,
Aleksandar Vuković

How about you stop using internet explorer as its a legacy software and doesnt support standards that came out well over 5 years ago.
Thanks Aleksandar,
any way to get the table working in IE?
Change colors? Or no way at the moment?
I also have a 2.7.2 version of wpdatatables saved - would this be possible to get it working - by downgrading the plugin?
Kind regards, Clemens
@Derin Tolu:
Be sure I'm not using IE – I'm on a Mac. But anyways, there are still many users out there stuck on old PCs. Especially in big organizations – and when it's my clients standard browser I'll have to find a way to get it solved. Cheers!
Here's what you can do, Clemens:
You need to replace wp-content/plugins/wpdatatables/assets/js/wpdatatables/admin/common.js with the file attached to my response.
Then, in file wp-content/plugins/wpdatatables/assets/js/wpdatatables/admin/ add the new wdt.color-picker-init.js file (also attached).
Lastly, replace contents of wp-content/plugins/wpdatatables/controllers/wdt_admin.php with the third file attached to my response.
That should do the trick.
Kind Regards,
Aleksandar Vuković

Thank you so much Aleksandar!
It worked great as far as I could test it with an emulator.
Thanks for great support!
