I am very interested in using this plugin to build a statistics analysis database for the non-profit organization I serve. We receive annual statistics from our various branches and compile them into annual reports. We also use this data for our own multi-year analyses. All of this seems quite possible with your plugin.
But we also would like to produce the following limited access reports.
1. We want our branches to be able to view their statistics in the context of their region's and the organization's averages/trends. For privacy reasons, it is important to us that branches have access only to their own annual data while also seeing averages for the groups they are associated with.
2. We want our regional managers to have access to the all of the data within their region and to compare their region's averages and trends against other regions without access the other region's member data.
3. We want to offer consultants time-limited access to client-imited data based on their investigations. For example, a consultant working with a particular group would have access to their data for the extent of the consultation.
Are these use cases possible given your current architecture?
wpDataTables doesn't have any role-based views, so if the table is displayed on a public page, it will be accessible to everyone. You can work around this issue in combination with some membership plugins, to restrict certain users, or user roles, from seeing individual pages.
Another option would be to create a couple of tables which will be used in combination with Users see and edit only own data, to allow one master table to show different results when accessed by different user roles. If you were to purchase the plugin, I would help you with that.
Time-limited access is not something that can be achieved with wpDataTables, and I'm not sure if membership plugins can achieve that.
Basically, these three points are possible, but not with built-in features of the plugin.
Also, if you decide to purchase the plugin, since you're with a non-profit organization, we can offer you a 30% discount on one of our yearly licenses, or a 50% discount for one of our Lifetime licenses. We'd just need some details about the NPO.
We have a 15-day money back guarantee, so if you have time to test the plugin (with our help, of course), you can purchase it, and if we find that you cannot use it in your case, you can submit a refund request and be refunded for that purchase.
This sounds like we could make it work. And I very much appreciate your mention of the non-profit discount. My organization is a denomination of Christian churches in the country of Estonia. If I am given authorization to purchase the plugin, I'm recommending that we go for the lifetime subscription. I will be in touch when we have the go ahead to make a purchase and can provide any details you need at that time. Thank you for your attention!
If the ticket receives no responses within 7 days it will automatically close, but you can simply post another reply in it, and it will be reopened, so when you're ready just reply to this ticket, and we'll sort everything out.
Happy New Year. I hope 2021 will be a positive and properous year for you!
I've been given the green light for this project and would like to proceed along the lines we discussed in October. Does the same non-profit discount apply?
We would also greatly appreciate your advice as we set up our reports. Is that a service we would need to pay for separately?
