We're Moving to a New Support Platform – Starting June 1st!
We’re excited to let you know that starting June 1st, we’ll be transitioning to a new support system that will be available directly on our product websites – Amelia, wpDataTables, and Report Builder. In fact, the new support platform is already live for Amelia and wpDataTables, and we encourage you to reach out to us there.
You'll always be able to reach us through a widget in the bottom right corner of each website, where you can ask questions, report issues, or simply get assistance.
While we still do not offer live support, a new advanced, AI-powered assistant, trained on our documentation, use cases, and real conversations with our team, is there to help with basic to intermediate questions in no time.
We're doing our best to make this transition smooth and hassle-free. After June 1st, this current support website will redirect you to the new "Contact Us" pages on our product sites.
Thanks for your continued support and trust – we’re excited to bring you an even better support experience!
Hi there,
I would like to know if it is possible to connect data from one table with another table withing this plugin and / or any add-ons. To clearefy see following situation:
TABLE 1. This table is for adding / changing / removing contact information of various mechanics. This one should contain the persons data such as name, phone number, address and company name of the mechanic. This table needs to be searchable.
TABLE 2. This table is for adding / changing / removing project work logs. This one should contain information such as date, time, location and discription. But also the name of the mechanic that worked on this project.
Is it possible to add 'John Doe' as a mechanic to TABLE 1 (with all his contact information) and then add a work log to TABLE 2 and then select 'John Doe' has worked on this project?
---
I think I found this option here https://wpdatatables.com/documentation/front-end-editing/configuring-table-relations-foreign-key/.
Additional: Is it possible to make the employee (mechanic) name clickable in TABLE 2 so the employees contact details are popping up?
Hi Jaro,
Thank you for your interest in wpdatatables.
Yes if I understand you right you can use foreign keys in TABLE 2.
Unfortunately creating link form employee and show details is not possible.
What we have is to show More details about data from table row with our add-on Master details.
You can check out more on this link https://wpdatatables.com/documentation/addons/master-detail-tables/
Also, you can try our sandbox site: Front-end & Back-end - you can find a fully functional version there to try out all plugin premium features.
You can try wpDataTables add-ons before purchase on these sandbox sites:
