I'm Administrator at a museum. This summer we quickly integrated an online booking system into our website when we'd previously managed bookings strictly through email/phone. While our system is not bespoke for museums, we've managed to find work arounds for it to work for us in managing new capacity requirements for socially distanced visits re: Covid. The problem we have, and it's something we are looking to resolve as soon as possible, is we've not yet migrated to online email/calendar accounts; we have local server based accounts, so I have set up a single secure gmail account for us to use to feed the bookings into. We'll have to finish a full gmail migration to get more than one web-based email account/calendar and there are business reasons we can not do this just yet.
I really like the look of Amelia and will consider migrating to it for our booking system, but I'm wondering how are calendars linked to it? We are having difficulty as our family visit ticket is 10 euro while adult tickets are 5 euro/person, and we are working from one linked calendar, so we have had to isolate family visits to different time slots from adult groups to manage the pricing differences. We'd ideally like to overlap these options of family and adult visits at the same time slots at the appropriate pricing as long as the overall numbers are capped at every point in time. Is this something that Amelia could resolve and would it also require multiple web-based calendars to link to?
Please let me know if you need me to clarify further. Your system was recommended to me and it looks very user friendly and sleek on the frontend, so I would be interested but just need to clarify this particular issue we are having before making a decision to switch to Amelia.
Sorry to disappoint you, but looking to your use case below our plugin might not fit your needs.
The main issue is that we do not have the option to make difference with the price based on is the booking by Family or Adults.
You create services and set the price for them, but there is no option to configure the price for the Adults, children or family at the moment within our plugin built-in features at the moment.
Many thanks for answering my query so promptly. I understand, and thanks for taking the time to confirm with me as I was curious if there was a workaround possible for us with your plug-in.
