Initial situation: I have a price list (products, description, price, etc.) in an external MySQL database. I would like to read the external DB (e.g. using an SQL statement) from an independent WordPress instance with GF and fill it into e.g. GF - dropdowns or other elements.
Where the data are stored after submitting the complete form is secondary (WP or mySQL).
Can one of your plug-in establish the connection between WP / GF and the mySQL-DB to address my requirements?
The plugin can be connected to multiple databases, regardless if those databases are on the same server or not. If you can configure the setup so data is stored in your desired tables, you would be able to pull that into wpDataTables.
Gravity Forms Integration for wpDataTables is a paid add-on, but it only works one way - it can create tables from existing Gravity Forms that contain at least one entry. Creating the Form from an existing table is not possible, so I don't believe what you're trying to achieve is possible with wpDataTables.

Hello Hansjürg
Thank you for your interest in wpDataTables.
