Is there a way to display staff (trainer in our case) name on Event using an [ameliaevents] shortcode? Currently there is only number of slots, date and place name (which is not very helpful, as we have one place).

Unfortunately, there isn't a possibility to show Staff names on the front-end for Events in Amelia with its built-in features. There are couple of shortcodes for Events, but they show the same information about the events, they can only show some or all. You can find all of the shortcodes in our FAQ section.
