I have a question specifically about the way the SMS notifications work at the backend. I asked this question before, but apparently I was not clear enough with my question. I added the E-Mail communication here for clarification. I have no questions about E-Mail notifications from the Amelia Plugin. However I need to know the exact specifics about the SMS plugins. There must be a difference between SMS and E-Mail notifications. I can send E-Mails from my own server with the plugin, without transferring any information about the customers anywhere. However, according to my understanding this is not possible for SMS, as my computer, my server or my host cannot send SMS themselves. So the SMS has to be sent by another service and in order to do that the number needs to be sent as well. There is no possibility otherwise. Also it is necessary to log in to Amelia to activate the SMS function. I need to know where exactly the numbers are sent, the details how this is done, etc. As if there are any personnel information (and a phone number includes that) is transferred to the United States or a US company (even if the servers are somewhere else), it is at this point not legally possible to do that from Europe because of recent decisions at the European Court.

HI Susanne,
Thank you for your inquire.
Like I mentioned on the other ticket, the data is not shared anywhere else except in our plugin.
As for the SMS provider we are using Twilio and you can check their policy on their site, or send them the inquire about the customer data.
Kind Regards,
Miloš Jovanović
