Bookings in Amelia are synchronized with Google Calendar. However, something is going wrong with the timezone.

eg. a booking in Amelia on 14.00 (GMT + 2) is mapped tot a Google Calendar booking on 13.00 (GMT +2).

In wordpress the timezone is set to GMT+2, and the setting for displaying in local time is set off.

    Please help.

    Hello Han Oei,

    Thank you for your purchase.

The timezone applied to Amelia is the one you choose in your WordPress general settings, and the City timezone options have proven to be better options in WP than the UTC+something options.

If you have set properly your timezone in your WP, and the times in Amelia (front and back are same and OK) then the issue is the timezone in your Google calendar, so please check what is the timezone you have set in your Google calendar.

    Hello Marija,

Thank you for your reply, but the problem still occurs. I tested it several times.

I have set the time properly both in WP and in Google Calendar (Mid European time), but when I make an appointment in Amelia, the time is set properly in Amelia, but both the client and myself receives an appointment in Google Calendar one hour too early.

I assume there is a mistake in the interface/synchronization between Amelia and Google Calendar.

Pleas help, because for every appointment I have to send my clients a new updated Google appointment...

    Thanks in advance,

    Han

    Hello Han,

    You are welcome.

We aren't aware of any issue currently with the Google calendar/Amelia sync regarding the times, I have just tested it on our website and it works properly, and we haven't had such complaints. One thing that could be the case here - if you are in the daylight savings timezone and you have chosen UTC+something option in WordPress General settings, it won't take the daylight savings time into consideration, so when the time changes, so if this is the case please change the setting to one of the City timezone options and let me know if this helped.

If it doesn't help please provide me a temporary WP-admin login for your site where this happens, so we could log in and take a look. I will create one test employee and connect it to my Google calendar, so please let me know what is the timezone set in your Google calendar so I can set it as well.

We do not interfere with any data or anything else except for the plugin (in case that’s a production version of the site), and of course we do not provide login data to third party. You can write credentials here just check Private Reply so nobody can see them except us.
