It was working and then it suddenly decided it would not work. Then when I go to configure it, there is nothing there and I need to start over. It will not allow me to re-attach - the continue button is grayed out.

Thank you for letting us know the issue has been resolved.
If you're creating tables linked to an existing data source, you cannot change the structure, or the wpDataTable will break. So, adding, deleting, renaming or rearranging columns is something you shouldn't do.

This has been fixed. I deleted the data table, republished entire document, then connected it again, and it worked.
