Synchronization of two sites

    Good morning.

I have Amelia installed in 2 different sites (one for a language and another one for another language). I have the same employees attending the customers of both sites, regardless the language, so they share the same working dates/times. Everything is working fine except that I can have a double booking at the same date/time for the same employee (one coming from one site and the second coming from the other site).

How can I block a timeslot in site1, when it is booked in site2, and viceversa?

    Thank you very much

    Hello Alvaro,

There isn't a possibility to synchronize two websites in order to have the same data/appointments in Amelia. You can use the Google calendar sync probably to achieve what you want - when you sync Amelia with Google - https://wpamelia.com/configuring-google-calendar/ you need to connect these two employees to the same Google calendar and enable the option Remove Google Calendar Busy Slots  in Amelia -> Settings -> Integrations -> Google Calendar Settings. When the employee get an appointment on one of the website that appointment will be created in the Google calendar so the time slot will be blocked on both sites.

Hi Marija, I have had some doubts following the procedure:

As you know, I have 2 employees, so each one of them has a google account (there are 2 google accounts: G1 and G2):

    1) regarding the process explained at the webpage you sent me:

1a) Which google account do you have to use to get ClientID/ClientSecret (some of the employee´s accounts or a third one: G1, G2 or G3)?

1b) the last step of the procedure (... Once you’ve completed these settings, there’s one more thing to set on the employees’ side. Each employee should log in and connect to their Google calendar for the synchronization to work  ...) I gues employee number one has to use G1 and employee number 2 has to use G2, is that correct?

    2) As I have 2 sites (one for one language and the other one for the other language):

2a) For the second language, should I follow the process with G1, G2 or G3 or even with a new one G4?

2b) the last step of the procedure (... Once you’ve completed these settings, there’s one more thing to set on the employees’ side. Each employee should log in and connect to their Google calendar for the synchronization to work  ...) I gues employee number one has to use G1 and employee number 2 has to use G2, is that correct? Or do they have to use new accounts (G5 and G6)?

    Thank you.

    Hi Alvaro,

1a) This is in no connection to the employees, you first do the Google sync - using the email account that you want/have and then connect each employee to their Google account/calendar.

1b) Yes, you connect each employee to their own Google calendar/account.

2a) You can use the same Google account as in point 1a.

2b) You would need to connect employees to the same GOogle calendars if you want them to be blocked on both sites when on one of them they are booked - so if you connect employee 1 with G1 on both the first and second website, when they are booked on first website that appointment will be created in their G1 and then this will be seen as busy event from website two as well, and the time slot will be blocked for booking.
