The first link is bad - you have "2PACX" in the link, so that tells me you copied the URL from the pop-up modal when you published the spreadsheet, not the URL from the address bar.
The second link results in an error:
TypeError: Cannot set property '_DT_CellIndex' of undefined
/new/wp-content/plugins/wpdatatables/assets/js/jquery-datatables/jquery.dataTables.min.js?ver=3.0.4:24
After inspecting the data that's pulled from that Spreadsheet, it seems like you have the different number of columns when compared to the number of headers.
Can you please allow editing access (share the spreadsheet with me) for [email protected], so I can take a look?
I shared this spreadsheet with you, so you can edit it. Please feel free to create a table using the link above, and then when you access column's settings, you can set the Display Header to be whatever you want.
I definitely wouldn't recommend leaving headers this big anyway.
Thanks for you reply, but this seems not the issue. The original google sheet was a google form response sheet, hence the headers are actually part questions of the form. When i created a copy from its original and tried to cut texts on each headers and tried to link it again with the wpDataTable seems always produces "Table has no rows" error. See this google sheet link https://docs.google.com/spreadsheets/d/1yDxYxdJjsmHTZuitZIioqo1RdK_3Mo3vFHy09jXQ48c/edit#gid=0
i think this is a bug in wpDataTable as I have also tried Ninja Table Pro plugin and they seem work regardless how long texts on headers. Unfortunately Ninja Table converts timestamp to a different date format. Can you please investigate this and let me know what is wrong?
As you can see, I have no issues creating a table using that URL, and there are no bugs in the plugin.
You can't add a new link to an existing table, though. You need to create a new table linked to Google Spreadsheet, and it will work, as you can see in the attached screenshot.
Hi there,
I have upgraded wpDataTable to the latest Version 3.0.4, but it seems i still cant create a new table with existing google spreadsheet. I followed the documentation from here: https://wpdatatables.com/documentation/creating-wpdatatables/creating-wpdatatables-from-google-spreadsheets/
using this spreadsheet link (published to web) https://docs.google.com/spreadsheets/d/e/2PACX-1vQ9bl2klzlcC_fzQFtU7t8sekt8gk2xOPmlkr3oa1JF2dOaeOSoILLF8oym9hNhH2Zka-0YjZW9-jys/pubhtml
But it doesnt work and shows error, see screenshot https://imgur.com/6jeipyM
I also tried to use the browser link here https://docs.google.com/spreadsheets/d/1d-d1M9Lofiw1aD39PrV4pNQnQLUHsXDzAB6pGm1cVRs/edit#gid=0 but it show error "Table in data source has no rows" https://imgur.com/2MhQ8Yg
Do we even have a solution to create table with google spreadsheet?
Thanks,
Prima

Thanks for your reply Alexsandar, so the google sheet that i want to convert to wpdatatable is a google response sheet, this is a copy of it, i have made this publicly available for you to edit https://docs.google.com/spreadsheets/d/1-9uLCqqrqszaiuCZ-_o6YjMuAU-IgpuR8xU2v4NWb2U/edit?usp=sharing
Can you try to embed that in, i tried so many things especially with the tutorial in your website as well, but none of them is working.
Also would the sort by timestamp be working properly as well?
Thanks
Prima
Hello again Prima
The issue with this sheet is the length of your column headers.
I created a duplicate spreadsheet, where I changed the headers, and the table is created just fine.
