I have set up SMS Notifications and Amelia is sending the same exact text twice, costing us much more money than is necessary. Any idea why the SMS Notifications is sending twice in error?
Can you please share the content of that email with me, so I can take a look?
The issue here may be that the message is split into two segments. This can happen if you use UCS2 encoding instead of GSM. That encoding is usually triggered if you use non-latin collation (cyrilic, or some symbols). For example, I saw a case when a customer from France used the long dash ( – ) instead of a regular dash ( - ), and it caused an issue like this.
If this doesn't help, please provide me a temporary WP-admin login for your site where this happens, so we could log in and take a look ‘from the inside’ as that’s the most efficient way to see and resolve the issue. We do not interfere with any data or anything else except for the plugin (in case that’s a production version of the site), and of course we do not provide login data to third party.
You can write credentials here just check Private Reply so nobody can see them except us.
Thank you. We recently had this issue with another user with the duplicate SMS notifications, so one of our developers checked it out, and it will be fixed in the next update of Amelia, so in version 2.9.2. Sorry for any inconveniences this have caused.
