I've read all previous posts about why an employee might have the away status. WP time-zone, working hours etc.
I have several employees that are fully functioning as available (all set up and working correctly from the front end and back end), yet within the employee section, they're flagged as being AWAY.
Like I said, from a functional point of view, it's working. From a display point of view (in the back end only) it's not.
Employees show as "Away" when you're looking at the Employees section outside of your employees' working hours.
So if employee is working from 09:00 - 17:00, and you're viewing that section at 08:59, they will be shown as "Away", from 09:00 - 17:00 they will be either "Available" or "Busy" (if they are working on an appointment at that time), and again, from 17:01, they will be "Away" again.
Hi, i have the same problem, i have only one employee me. I have them assigned to a WP user with UTC timezone. We work 9-6 and im within that time but it keeps saying i am not available or away? How do i fix this please? Thanks Colin
I'm afraid I have no new response to this question.
If your employee's working hours are from 09:00 - 17:00, and you're in the same time zone as your WordPress site, if you're looking at the employee at 08:59 - he will be set as "Away", but if you look at 09:01 - he will be either "Available" or "Busy".
If you're still having issues with this, go to your employee's Work Hours tab, and verify the working hours are correct. Also, check if the time zone you're in is the same as the time zone of your WordPress site. Also, it's best to use the city you're in, instead of the UTC+/- format, because it can cause issues with time zones.
OK, I've got a small niggling problem.

Any ideas?
