I've made a wpdt table that has 2 columns, which it gets from an SQL table of about 100 columns by this query:
SELECT `ABC University`,
`IconColumnText`
FROM UniInfoTable
WHERE `ABC University` <>"x";
When I duplicate the wpdt table, and change the duplicated-table's query so that one of the columns it selects is different from the original query, like this:
SELECT `XYZ University`,
`IconColumnText`
FROM UniInfoTable
WHERE `XYZ University` <>"x";
then I lose all the conditional formatting in the changed column.
Conditional formatting is one of the settings, that are saved in the database tables wp_wpdatatables_columns and wp_wpdatatables. Since SQL query tables are basically tables linked to an existing data source, the data of a conditional format is added in those tables, and it depends on column headers.
When the database header is modified in the description of the table, the conditional formatting is reset, so you will need to do it again, unfortunately, or if you know your way around SQL, you can copy it from the other table, and just change the column header.
Hi,
I've made a wpdt table that has 2 columns, which it gets from an SQL table of about 100 columns by this query:

then I lose all the conditional formatting in the changed column.
Is there a remedy for this?
Thank you.

Hello Marian
Conditional formatting is one of the settings, that are saved in the database tables wp_wpdatatables_columns and wp_wpdatatables. Since SQL query tables are basically tables linked to an existing data source, the data of a conditional format is added in those tables, and it depends on column headers.
When the database header is modified in the description of the table, the conditional formatting is reset, so you will need to do it again, unfortunately, or if you know your way around SQL, you can copy it from the other table, and just change the column header.
