The email notification service is not working in amelia. The SMS notification sometimes does not work too or is too slow.
Hello Loay,
Could you please tell me what Mail service have you chosen in Amelia -> Notification settings? Have you followed our instructions for setting this up? If you use SMTP it can be used with Gmail like we provided an example for or any other mail service provider, but you need to have a configuration they need for that. Sometimes using SMTP for some providers like Gmail or similar is not supported by the hosting/server. So you need to check this out with them as well, what configuration is needed for SMTP sending emails on your servers.
If you have some other plugin for this purpose, sending emails/ SMTP, on your website, then you need to choose WP Mail as a Mail service in Amelia and it will use that other plugin's configuration for sending emails.
Let me know if this helped.
Regarding SMS notifications they should be sent after the appointment is booked. If there is any delay in this it could be because of the server response. Could you please check your server connection if there are any issues there?
I am using WP mail service in amelia, but it is not working, whenever i send a test email it says that the email has been sent, but i dont receive anything.
Could you tell me have you checked your Junk/Spam folders? The email notifications can be flagged as spam or junk by some mail service providers unfortunately. You can ask your hosting provider if there is anything that could be done about this. Maybe you can try another sender email option in the Notification settings in Amelia.
There is nothing in my junk or spam. I used the exact same email notifications settings on a different wordpress website and it is working fine. I dont know why it is not working for this.
Are they hosted on a same server? You should ask your hosting provider about this, if the notifications work in Amelia (the test email says tthey are sent) then there is something stopping them on the website/server.
