We're Moving to a New Support Platform – Starting June 1st!

We’re excited to let you know that starting June 1st, we’ll be transitioning to a new support system that will be available directly on our product websites – Amelia, wpDataTables, and Report Builder. In fact, the new support platform is already live for Amelia and wpDataTables, and we encourage you to reach out to us there.

You'll always be able to reach us through a widget in the bottom right corner of each website, where you can ask questions, report issues, or simply get assistance.

While we still do not offer live support, a new advanced, AI-powered assistant, trained on our documentation, use cases, and real conversations with our team, is there to help with basic to intermediate questions in no time.

We're doing our best to make this transition smooth and hassle-free. After June 1st, this current support website will redirect you to the new "Contact Us" pages on our product sites.

Thanks for your continued support and trust – we’re excited to bring you an even better support experience!

Do new users really have to click Forgot Passwords to set it?

If they set it with the wordpress link they are forced to see the WP backend...

How can I set a default password for Amelia accounts?

Or is there a direct link in Amelia I can add to the notification settings so they are alerted they can reset the password via the Amelia account settings?

    Hello Jacob,

Customers can set their own password in the Customer panel this way - you need to provide a Customer panel link in the email notifications (you need to add a placeholder for the panel to the email notifications in Amelia). So when customers book an appointments for the first time they will get the link for the panel in their email notification, and when they click on it they will need to set a password for them , and later on they can use that email/password to login to the panel. This is when the option Require password for login  in Amelia -> Settings -> Roles Settings is enabled.

If you have any further questions feel free to ask.

My new customers are getting an email with a link to set their password on the wp-admin page. Is this how the customer panel is supposed to work?

This is giving them access to my back-end wp website, which I don't want.

    Hello Keith,

Customers get email from WP if the option Automatically create Amelia Customer user  in Amelia -> Settings -> Roles Settings -> Customer is enabled, so they are automatically created as Amelia customers in WP as well. So, if you don't want this just disable this and if you setup the customer panel, they will have access to it only.

If you have any other questions or concerns feel free to open a new ticket and we will gladly help.
