We're Moving to a New Support Platform – Starting June 1st!
We’re excited to let you know that starting June 1st, we’ll be transitioning to a new support system that will be available directly on our product websites – Amelia, wpDataTables, and Report Builder. In fact, the new support platform is already live for Amelia and wpDataTables, and we encourage you to reach out to us there.
You'll always be able to reach us through a widget in the bottom right corner of each website, where you can ask questions, report issues, or simply get assistance.
While we still do not offer live support, a new advanced, AI-powered assistant, trained on our documentation, use cases, and real conversations with our team, is there to help with basic to intermediate questions in no time.
We're doing our best to make this transition smooth and hassle-free. After June 1st, this current support website will redirect you to the new "Contact Us" pages on our product sites.
Thanks for your continued support and trust – we’re excited to bring you an even better support experience!
Advanced filtering is not working.
I created a simple table with only an ID column for testing. I can see that the record does exist in the table but when I search it using the advanced filter it says that the record has no matches.
How can this be fixed?
Hello Leo
How is this table created? If it's an SQL query based table, there could be some issues there, but I can't say for sure until I see the query. Can you share it with me, please?
Kind Regards,
Aleksandar Vuković

Hi Aleksandar,
The query is just a select from a PostgreSQL view
Hello again Leo
Please try removing the semi-colon from the end ( ; ).
Let me know if that helps.
If it doesn't, please provide me a temporary WP-admin login for your site where this happens, so we could log in and take a look ‘from the inside’ as that’s the most efficient way to see and resolve the issue. We do not interfere with any data or anything else except for the plugin (in case that’s a production version of the site), and of course we do not provide login data to third party.
You can write credentials here just check Private Reply so nobody can see them except us.
Kind Regards,

HI Aleksandar,
Removing the semi-colon does not make it work.
Although, I found a workaround. Using PHP I'm getting the ID from the URL and passing it as a variable to the wpDataTables short code.
Now I have a different problem. I know this is not part of the plugin but perhaps you might have the anwser.
I have a wpDataTable in the about page. I would like to open a modal window in my home page and display the table in the about page. Unfortunately the code below does not return any records from the table. I think the problem is how I'm initializing the table:
Is there a different way to initialize a wpDataTable?
Thanks,
Leo
Hello again Leo
I'm glad to hear you found a way to do it.
Please tell me what '#table_3' is? Is that the ID of the table, or do you have 2 tables on the page?
I'm asking because all wpDataTables existing on the page are reflected in the global JavaScript object called ‘wpDataTables‘. If you check this variable in the JS developer console you will see the wpDataTables as properties of this object:
If you're using the correct object, then table_3 does sound alright.
Also, all tables added as objects have odd numbering, so if you have 3 tables on the page, they will be table_1, table_3 and table_5, regardless of their IDs in back-end.
You can check out our front-end callbacks, and see if there's something there that can help you out.
Kind Regards,
Aleksandar Vuković

Hi Aleksander,
Yes, I was trying to get a second table, but I was not able to initialize the table; although I found another workaround.
Thanks,
Leo
I'm glad to hear that, Leo
