This adds a whole new section to the website, with its own booking platform. I was looking to add it to the box as a dropdown option.
Also how do I add location to my box? (Like the one in the screenshot i have attached) There is no clear instruction on your videos on youtube to do this.
Please note that we do not provide live support. Our working hours are from 10:00 - 17:00 CET, Mon - Fri, and we respond to tickets in the order in which they arrive.
1. You can't add categories in a dropdown, like you have for services, locations and employees. Choosing a category is only possible in the [ameliacatalog] view.
2. To add new locations, you need to go to Amelia/Locations in your dashboard, and add new locations there. This is not enough for it to display, though, as your employees need to be assigned to those locations. Since one employee can work only on one location at the time, you would need to either create multiple employees that would cover multiple locations, or you need to define the location in Employee's Profile/Work Hours, when creating working periods.
3. We don't have any options for deposits but you can use a workaround. For example, if your service costs $20 and if you want to set deposit of 20% to pay online and rest onsite, you can make a service where you will set the price to be $4 (which is 20% of $20) and then explain in service title and/or description how much is the real price of this service.
The service's description is only available in [ameliacatalog] view, but you can also add a Text Content custom field, which will inform your customers that the $4 they're paying is only a deposit. A good idea would be to add a mandatory radio button custom field, where your customers need to confirm that they acknowledge this, like:
"I understand the price I'm paying online is 20% of the service's price, and that I need to pay the remaining 80% on site".
When i try and enter a zip code address for a location, the map is blank and any zip code doesn't link to the map, just remains blank. Please help.
Hello Keiran
Did you create Google Map API Key on your Google account (enabling all necessary API's from the image below)?
Did you add your billing account? You can read more about this here.
If you did, you need to insert it on Google Map API Key option in Amelia's General settings.
Kind Regards,
Aleksandar Vuković

Hello Keiran
I'm glad to hear the issue is resolved.
To have your customers choose the category first, you should add it with [ameliacatalog] shortcode on your page.
