Hello,
I am trying to decrease my text messages expenses. And I encounter several problem.
1°) As a french user, I encounter a problem. Our french word for "August" is "Août" and the simple "û" cost me 2 text messages more (because it turns the SMS into Unicode).
Is there a way to withdraw the accent, and turn the "ù" in "u" please ?
2°) Also is there a way to change what is displayed for the request : "%appointment_date_time%" and withdraw "2020" ?
3°) Will there be a SMS Character count in the future version of Amelia to know what will be the price of or text messages please ? Or Can you display any warning that a special character in our message will turn the text messages into Unicode please ?
4°) Will there be a decrease of the french price for text messages also ? Professional websites that send text messages charge around 0,08€, not 0,11€+VAT = 0,13€ that your service requires.
Best regards,
Hello robin,
1) There isn't a possibility to change this unfortunately, as v calendar is used for the calendar in Amelia, and the month string comes from there, if you choose French in your WP this will be the string used for the month August in Amelia.
2) It isn't possible to remove the year from the %appointment_date_time% placeholder with Amelia's current built-in features. But I will add this placeholder as a feature request to our list so it can be considered for implementation in the future.
3) This is set by SMS service providers, so unfortunately, we can't change it from within Amelia. The special characters take more space in the SMS and because of this there are more messages. But I will add this as well to our feature request list so it can be considered if there is anything that could be changed in the future regarding this matter.
4) We can't say for now if there will be a decrease in the SMS prices, unfortunately.
