CSS to shorten text

I created a table using a Google Spreadsheet.  Table looks great but I have one column that lists the titles of research papers.  Some of the titles can get really long so I'd like to shorten/truncate them with CSS.  Do you have an easy CSS for this?

I've checked your documentation and couldn't find the answer.  I searched online but only found several lines of CSS, not just one.  I don't even know if this is possible.

I have also utilized changing the column widths/wrapping text but I don't like the way this displays in mobile.

If you have some CSS or another workaround to this, that would be excellent.

    Thank you for your time,

    Todd

    Hello Todd

    Thank you for your purchase.

Something like this can't be done with CSS, but you could do it with innerHTML I suppose.

You would need to locate the ID, and if possible change content of it with some JavaScript. We don't have any documentation or advice about this, since it is not something wpDataTables is capable of. This is being done outside the plugin, and we do not provide support for that.

If I had already done it in the past, I would've gladly shared some advice with you, but I haven't, so I don't know exactly how it can be done.

    Kind Regards,
