In fact, the new support platform is already live for Amelia and wpDataTables, and we encourage you to reach out to us there.
You'll always be able to reach us through a widget in the bottom right corner of each website, where you can ask questions, report issues, or simply get assistance.
While we still do not offer live support, a new advanced, AI-powered assistant, trained on our documentation, use cases, and real conversations with our team, is there to help with basic to intermediate questions in no time.

After upgrading wordpress and the WPDataTables plugin, I am getting a critical error whenever I visit the wp-admin dashboard for my installation. Front-end continues to work just fine. I have isolated issue to the WPDataTables plugin by deactivating and reactivating the plugin.
I have rolled back from version 3.0.3 to 3.0.1 and site now okay.

This should not be happening if you deleted cache on your browser after you updated the plugin.
3.0.3 has updates needed to run on WordPress 5.5, and if you update your WordPress version, 3.0.1 will not be able to run normally. Please try updating the plugin again, but after you do make sure you delete all cache from the plugin. If that fails too, please let me know, and provide any potential error logs and screenshots.

Same issue here.
We found out that in v3.0.3 strange line of code appeared that always resets wp update checking transient - which make WP to check for plugin updates on every admin page that causes performance drop

Please check and remove if possible.

You can freely go to wp-content/plugins/wpdatatables/controllers/wdt_functions.php and delete this line:
set_site_transient('update_plugins', null);From line 861.
Then delete cache from your website and browser, and let me know if that fixes the issue with performance.
