In order to connect your employee to an existing WordPress user, that user needs to have "Amelia Employee" user role. If you don't want them to change the role they already have, you can download the "User Role Editor" plugin, which will allow you to add multiple roles to a user.
I was able to make my WP admin user an Amelia Employee by adding the Amelia Employee role. However on the Employee setup page I was not able to select the WP Admin user to be an employee as that user would not appear in the Amelia WP user pull down box.
So i created a second WP user and made him an Amelia Employee and was able to use him in creating an employee. However when I went back and added the WP Admin role to this second WP user he was no longer mapped to the Amelia Employee.
I seems that Amelia doesn't like the WP users to have a WP Admin role even if it's secondary.
Is there anything I can do to get my WP Admin user mapped as an employee?
I don't believe there is. Administrator is the highest role, and mixing it with other roles is not advisable. In this case, it seems that it's not even possible.
Unfortunately, there's no workaround I can offer you at the moment, and you will need to have separate user roles for your employees.
Cannot associate WordPress user with employee. I typed the name the same way as in the wp user profile.
Thanks!

Hello Alexsandar,
I downloaded the User Role Editor plugin and it looks like I'm going to do what I need to do.
Thanks for the help!

Hi Aleksandar,
Sorry, but I was confused in my last answer.

Is there anything I can do to get my WP Admin user mapped as an employee?
Thanks! Dave Mongillo
