Whenever I try to add a lengthy amount of text to a table cell it prompts an error with no associated error code. Is there a limit to the amount of text than can be put in one cell and if so is there a way to override this?
That depends on the column type. If you're using single-line text, the database column is set to VARCHAR with character limit of 255. If you set it to be multi-line text, it is configured as TEXT with the character limit of 2,147,483,647 characters.
If you've already created the table, changing the type in wpDataTables will not change the type in the database, so you would need to find the corresponding table in the database, change the type and remove the limit.

Hello Micheal
