I'm trying to get my Appointment Next-Day Reminder emails working.
I've installed WP Crontrol, as well as WP Mail SMTP but noticed that WP Crontrol only has a tab for "Add PHP Cron Event". If I use this tab, can I assume that my reminder emails will go through the WP Mail SMTP plugin and not as PHP Mail?
Under "Mail Service", I've already selected WP Mail and my other email notifications are working perfectly and going out via SMTP. I'm basically just trying to make sure that reminder emails will also be sent via the WP Mail SMTP plugin, and not as PHP Mail:
In other words, I'm wondering if reminder emails simply use whichever Mail Service is selected under Notification Settings (as is the case for other email notifications in Amelia) or if scheduled emails are handled separately and I need to take additional steps in order to get these emails sent via WP Mail SMTP.
If someone could clarify for me which email service gets used by default with cron jobs, it would be much appreciated!
Hello Daniel
You are correct, reminder emails simply use whichever Mail Service is selected under Notification Settings.
You only need to add the event as described in our FAQ section, and that's it. If you add the event correctly, and all your other notifications work, so should the scheduled ones.
Kind Regards,
Aleksandar Vuković
