Can someone help me with the Pay Pal integration? I am having some trouble.

I have my bookings page all set up, all my settings are good to go. I need to know how I hook it up to my  Pay Pal account? After i type in the Live Secrets for the Sandbox and Pay Pal Service, what is my next step?

The above link isn't helpful at all. Can someone walk me through this?

    Hello Derek,

The instructions that we provided on the page you sent are the ones that you should follow for setting up PayPal. Only there is a screenshot for the Sandbox credentials.

So you need to do this:

    1. Go to https://developer.paypal.com/developer/accountStatus/,
    2. On the left in the “Dashboard” menu click on “My Apps & Credentials”,
    3. In the “REST API apps” section you need to create a new App (or use the existing one),
    4. You must then copy data from the fields “Client ID” and “Secret” into PayPal Payment Settings on the Settings page of the plugin.

Please pay attention to the credentials you're copying, since there are Sandbox and Live credentials:2473837958.png

Sandbox can be used for testing, while Live is used for actual payments.

When you use Live credentials disable the Sandbox mode in Amelia -> Settings -> Notifications and provide the live credentials to the fields:

If you have any further questions or concerns feel free to ask,

Once I get the live credentials for Pay pal and Sandbox, is it just as simple as plugging them into the settings in Amelia? Then it's ready to go?

Do i have to download any other plugins other than Amelia? A Pay pal plugin?

Do i have to copy and paste any short code anywhere?

    Hello Derek,

When you create the API in PayPal you just copy the Client ID and Secret from PayPal and paste them to the corresponding fields in Amelia -> Settings -> PayPal (just enable PayPal first) and that is it:

You don't need any additional plugins or shortcodes, if you enable PayPal as a payment option in AMelia you can disable the on-site payment method if you want. If this is enabled as well customers will be able to choose in the booking form, when they book appointments, what payment method they want to use. If only PayPal is enabled they will need to use it in the booking process.
